Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about Cel Nexus as a brand — products, tools, orders, and support.

What is Cel Nexus?

Cel Nexus is a small, preservation‑minded brand focused on supplies, tools, and guidance for animation cels and related media. We publish calculators and references, and we sell practical gear tested against real collections.

Are your products archival‑safe?

Yes. We prioritize inert, low‑offgassing materials and lab or vendor documentation. If a product is not suitable for long‑term storage, we’ll say so plainly in its description and offer alternatives when possible.

How accurate are the calculators and tools?

They’re designed for decision support, not certification. Models use published assumptions where possible and simplify real‑world variability. Treat results as comparative guidance rather than guarantees.

What if a blog has an inaccuracy or needs more context?

Our blogs aim to be rigorous and practical, but real collections can introduce edge cases. If you spot something that seems off, or if a statement needs added context, please let us know. We log all suggestions, review the sources, and issue updates or clarifications in-line.

Versioning: Blog pages include a “Last updated” note when material changes. For significant corrections, we add a short changelog at the top so readers can see what changed and why.

Priority fixes: Safety- or preservation-impacting issues are addressed first, followed by clarity edits and examples.

What if a tool result looks wrong?

Double‑check your inputs first. If something still seems off, contact us with a brief description, your inputs, and a screenshot. We’ll review the issue and push a fix if needed.

Where do you ship from and to?

We currently ship from the U.S. to most destinations. International shipping options and costs are shown at checkout. If your location isn’t listed, reach out and we’ll try to accommodate.

What are the shipping timelines?

In‑stock items typically ship within 2–3 business days. Pre‑order or backorder timelines are stated on the product page. You’ll receive a tracking email once your order leaves our facility.

What is your return policy?

If something arrives damaged or incorrect, email us within 14 days with photos and your order number. We’ll make it right with a replacement or refund. Unused, unopened items may be eligible for return; buyer pays return shipping unless we made a mistake.

Can I place a bulk or custom order?

Yes. For cartons, custom sizes, or institution‑level orders, contact us with quantities and timelines. We’ll quote lead times and pricing.

Do you buy cels or collections?

Sometimes. We’re particularly interested in pieces showing early vinegar syndrome or unusual paint behavior for research and testing. Send a brief note via Contact.

How do you handle privacy?

We collect the minimum necessary information to fulfill orders and improve tools. We don’t sell your data. See our Privacy note (linked in the footer) for details.

How can I keep up with new tools and supplies?

Subscribe to the newsletter in the footer and follow the links there. We announce updates, small-batch drops, and validation notes there first.

What is the timeline for Cel Nexus services?

Our planned services are currently in development and undergoing internal validation. We want to ensure every offering meets our archival and scientific standards before opening to the public.

Updates on availability will be posted in the Services section and through our newsletter. Once validation phases are complete, we'll publish clear timelines for pilot and public access.

Current status: Internal testing and documentation. The Services page will reflect “Coming Soon” until release candidates are ready.
